Separate sewer system

Updated on 13/07/2018
Sens technique

A system separating the collecting of domestic sewage in a sewer system and stormwater in another. The separate sewer system has the advantage of avoiding the risk of sewage overflowing into the environment when it rains. It allows better control of the pollution flow and concentration and adapting the capacity of wastewater treatment plants.
